Necessities for 2000 Sr5 to upgrade

Hey Bros and Sisters,

Hoping to get some advice for my 4Runner.

Picked up my first T4R in October last year.

Bottom was undercoated, but upon initial inspection could see why, was getting kinda rusty under there. Anyways not much I can do about that right now, maybe undercoat it again? I can get some pics if ya'll need to see condition etc.

I hear things about differential plug replacement, or soemthing of that nature - someone on FB said to do it, helps maintain life of the seals.. $14 part.. truth to this? Anyone know what they meant for sure?

Lower ball joints, heard about this too... I have no problem doin work on vehicles, have tools etc. So, best place to get OEM quality parts at? Looking for OEM grade, not necessarily soemthing that says Toyota on it... yes OEM quality is out there without paying OEM ridiculous price..

Rear bumper cover chrome has rusted hole and what not. best palce to find a replacement also are there any threads on here for procedure to fix? New to this forum, sorry for any redundancies...

Couple of rust spots on body... we all love the T4R for great reasons and keeping this thing clean of any more rust is something I am willing to do.... as much as I can.. how does a guy go with keeping that in control?

Most interseted in economical remedies as I have a 1985 Vmax that is being quite the money-pit-garage-space-taker-upper right now...

This info is all over the place but I'll Spiderman you a little:

I'm going to assume you mean the rear diff breather, not the diff plug. People relocate it to keep water from getting sucked in. If this isn't going to be an issue for you at least make sure the breather isn't clogged. It could save you leaking seals and contaminated shoes down the road.

OE for lower ball joints is my personal preference. A new set of bolts as well. Easy enough to find threads and pics on lower ball joint failure results. Sometimes spending extra saves in the long run.

I would look that frame over a LOT closer, you may need to do some serious work there.
