Need a 2002 T-case.

Anyone in the Indiana area or maybe midwest have a transfer case from a 2002 or know where I could find one? I figured I'd put a feeler out here before I start looking at junk yards.

Mine has a hairline crack below the drain. I've used a combo of JB Weld, Teflon tape and plumbers putty to get it to stop leaking at the moment, but I know it's not a long term fix. out:

Does $400 for a used transfer case sound expensive to anyone?

Heck yes it does! They go for around a hundred bucks in this area, $75 on a good day...

Yes. 99-02 Limited and 01-02 SR5 all use the multi-mode push-button transfer case. Earlier Limiteds ('96-'98) have an electronic case, but it doesn't have the multi-mode feature. 96-00 Base and SR5 models use a normal, mechanically shifted transfer case.

On another note not sure if a 99-00 limited crosses due to this two having the electronic actuators. A buddy has one dk how much he'll let it go but you should think about shipping to your door. 400 is way way too much!

Not sure if the '99-'00 Limited is compatible. Those years have multimode but they are still j-shift for the actuation of the center diff lock.

All models(SR5, Limited) in the '01-'02 years have the electric motor that does the shift in to 4wd and the center diff lock actuation. Plus, they only have a straight throw 4wd shifter for High-Neutral-Low.

The j-shift '99-'00 Limited case might also give some trouble with all the different electrical 4wd systems(Atrac, VSC and electronic ADD) that changed in the '01-'02 models.
