I'd recommend against that one. If two people were to draw their guns, someone probably won't make it out.

I would second the recommendation of situation awareness and self defense.

surprised nobody had mentioned the obvious CELL PHONE. when the hair stands up on the back of her neck call the police in a loud voice (aren't all cell calls in a loud voice) tell them where she is and describe the suspicious looking person following her. DO NOT hang up until she is in a safe place or the police arrive.

Now there you go, for all intensive purposes that is the way to go, just brandishing the fire arm will scare off most folks, that would harm her, and popping of a round that is not going to kill just hurt like hell,

oh yes and they can take pictures of the dirt bag to, But, sometimes the batteries go dead,

Some time they dont work, and or get reception,, cell phone, maybee if she threw it at the dirtbag,
