Need a new wheel..couple questions

A couple of days a go I lost traction in the rain and ended up on a curb, a piece of the wheel came off on the edge of it and the guy at the tire store said its at risk of a blow out. He's trying to sell me on a whole new set of wheels, but I personally like the look of the stock rims (well when I get around to painting them). So I'm looking into just getting one wheel that's the same as the other ones, I just don't know where to look? Are there any sites that would be good? Also how am I supposed to know what lug nuts I need? Can I tell from them just on the wheel? Or do I have to take them off? Ill include a picture of my wheel

Your best bet is going to be to try to find somebody selling a set of wheels like that. Local used tire places are good place to look for those, as are your classifieds and craiglist.

That particular wheel is normally called a TRD split 3spoke, so that may help in your search. Be careful what you buy, there's a 16" wheel that looks exactly like that, so make sure you're getting a 15. Good luck with the search!

My tire says the wheel is 16 though, but it looks like the wheel says 15, should I go with that?

I'm sorry, I looked at the wrong number and misled you. 16x7jj is your rim size, that's a 16 inch rim.

The lug nuts on Totoya are all same except for 5 bolt LC, Tundra, and Sequioa. 12mm x 1.5 pitch. As for the bolt pattern for a T4R it's 6 x 139.7mm (5.5").

It all depends on the wheel rim. Stock wheels use an acorn with a washer. Many aftermarket wheels like American Racing, use just an acorn without the washer.

Why do you need new lug nuts? If you're getting the same wheel, use the lug nuts you've already got.

Those are acorn nuts with a shank, by the way, also called ET nuts, and they are required for those wheels. Regular nuts won't engage enough lug threads. Here's a picture of the shank-style nut just to give you an idea - http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/GOR73138T-24.htm.

That wheel will cost around $200 new, assuming you can find one, they're in and out of stock as the factory take-offs get traded around. You can find an entire set for under $150 used, and sell the ones you don't want for probably $30-$40 each.

It might be easier to find the rim at a junkyard. Was the spare a steel rim?

In Texas we have all these random tire shops all over the place "Hernandez tires" etc. They always have spare rims that they will sell because people are always running over curbs and ****.

There are a few places near me like that, where I get my tires for my 86 PU. Flat repair $7, used tire mounted and balanced, $20.
