*Need Help*05 4 Runner sr5 2wd.***STRANGE SMELL***

whatSz goin on?!

since i bought my 4runner, like 2 yrs ago with 14k m.i started to notice and also smell a stange egg smell comin from the outside of the car..when i floor the pedal thats when it usually starts to smell up.. i been driving all around brooklyn asking all the local shops and every one seems to be clueless...


so can any one can help me out with the problem im currently experiencing...thank you

There is a TSB on it that the dealer can access - try a different gas station/brand. If that doesn't fix problem then dealer may change the catalytic converters.

will the tsb work n my o5 2 wd sr5////that i got on finance and no sort of any warranty papers...i seen the tsb posted on the stickies but thats talking abiut the v8 00 model..

The TSB is for the 04 V6 too -

EG015-04 MAY 04 Exhaust System - Excessive Sulfur Dioxide Odors

Emissions system is covered for 80k miles and ??? 5 years -- call and ask dealer service dept manager is best way to verify.
