Need help matching 1A5 Desert Dune with powder coat

Hey folks,

I could use some assistance matching a powder coat to my desert dune 4runner. Unfortunately, it is substantially more difficult to create custom colours with powder coating, so I'm hoping someone can chime in with a RAL equivalent to Toyotas 1A5, or a powder from Eastwoods, or any other supplier, that comes close to desert dune.

I've got new primed stock rear bumpers on the way (hate the chrome) and I'd like to get them matched to the body. I'd like to go the powder coating route as it's much more resistant to corrosion/chipping.


Here is a link to Eastwood's silvers. I think desert dune would land somewhere between "Silver lining Metallic" and "OEM wheel sparkle silver"

You cant pick color from a web site, view it on a monitor & expect it to be accurate. Those colors are Silver not Tan which Desert Dune is.

I'm on a color calibrated iMac because I'm in the printing business & I would not trust those images. You need swatches mailed to your house.

I wasn't expecting to match it based off electronic images. More curious if anyone has had experience with actual colours from Eastwoods.

My powder coat guy had some RAL swatches and RAL 9006 actually seems like a fairly close match when actually holding it next to the paint. Close enough for bumpers anyway.

Looks Silver to me, I have no experience with Eastwood powders, only their Rust converters.
