Need help with insurance/collision

2 Weeks ago I bought a 2006 Sport 2wd 4Runner for my wife. 750 miles later she was turning left and the person 2 cars behind her decided to pass everyone hitting her in the side. This is the first time I have had to repair a vehicle. I know I need to demand oem parts and as many new parts as possible, not sure if they still use Bondo but I know I don't want any. Any advice??

was your wife making a turn from the middle lane? or did the person behind her cross the double solid and try to pass her?

BTW - it looks like the repair company will probably replace the skins on the door if there is no structural damage.

My wife was on a rural 2 lane rd, turning left onto another rd. The person that hit her was 2 cars back, when my wife started turning left the #2 car tried to pass car1 and my wife not noticing her turn signal or the fact that she had already started turning and hit her in the side. I'm not sure if it is a double yellow line or not.

The person passing did have a solid yellow line and according to the police report they received a citation for improper passing.
