Need help with my road trip!

Hey guys,

A friend and I are off on a road trip, we are leaving Maine early december and heading south. Were going to bomb through northern New England States till we get to about Virginia and were going to camp and motel it. We have no real destination besides reaching the Carolinas maybe further and seeing some new scenery. We will be traveling in the 4runner. Do you guys have any tips? any suggestions on places to go? cool campsite, Wheeling spots for one vehicle?

And if there are any of you guys down there who want to meet up let me know! love to meet some of you.

Here are some maintenance tips.
Make sure tire pressure is up to spec
I personally would change the oil the synthetic before you leave, and since you are going on a long road trip it would be more of a good idea.
Check all fluids & oils. (Coolant, oil, power steering, brakes, etc)
Have pads & drums checked.
If it hasn't been done in a while, change the diff fluid.
Wash, wax, and vacuum it, get it looking nice and clean
Also take some basic living supplies (blankets, snacks, drinks, etc) for the road.
Other than that, I would say she's good to go!

Shenendoa mountains for sure! Check out ''Skyline Drive'' and the wineries there. Also placed to camp, and a place called ''Shadow Mountain Escape'' which is just 4 nice timberframe cabins you can stay in (if they're not already booked). Me and my wife stayed there recently and it was incredible.

For when you make it to North Carolina, look up Uwharrie National park for some off road trails. And if you end up by the coast, you can camp on the beach at Freeman Park in Carolina Beach. Drive safe!

I'd say hit Cape Hatteras in NC for some good dune wheeling. There's also some camping nearby.
