Looking for ideas on deleting the 3rd row seats and making a storage area with the space. What have you done, please share pics and details. Not looking for a platform or drawer system but more of a storage space.

I actually pulled out my third row seats a couple days ago. haven't built a platform yet but there are lots of third row delete ideas. those seats are pretty heavy. I gained almost 1/2" lift in the rear by removing the seats and all the hardware, measuring through centre cap up to bottom of fender. I was surprised at how heavy those seats were. I'm sure seats + hardware/brackets were over 100lbs
if you have smartkey when you remove the seats you'll have a wireless receiver in the trunk area. I suggest making a makeshift protective cover for that an the wiring if your trunk will be bare for a bit.
