Need quick advice and diagnosis . . .

Up front - I don't have time to do my own research in the forums right now, so any links, advice, diagnosis, would be much appreciated.

What happened:
Wife was driving our '94 v6 T4R and the radiator split on top and blew out all the coolant. She never knew what happened. Drove it another 5 minutes and it died in our driveway.

I let it cool down. The oil is just a little low as usual, and clean, not burnt. The radiator exploded on top. I cranked it for just a few seconds - it cranked right up and sounded pretty normal to me.

Obviously the radiator is done. I need to know what to check . . . what to look for . . . what other unseen damage there might be.

Again, this is time sensitive because its our DD and it's our only kid hauler. Thanks in advance for your help.

Unseen damage from a catastrophic overheat could literally be anything and everything. There's one way to find out real easy - see if it starts, listen for funny noises. You can run the engine for a minute or two without the radiator, just don't let it get hot again.

3.0's and heat do not mix. Do compression checks, you may not hear any noises or reveal a blown gasket till it is at operating temps. So be careful

You either blew a head gasket, warped a head, or somehow didn't hurt anything.

1 - compression test each cylinder

or

2 - replace radiator and coolant and pressure test

or

3 - replace radiator and coolant and just drive it around.

All about the same work. For it to be hot enough to cause it to die, I'm thinking your probably in the market for serious engine work.
