Need running board recommendations for elderly parenrs

So my folks just took home from the dealer a brand new 2025 4Runner TRD Sport.

It had already been ordered from the factory without OEM running boards, so looking to get them an aftermarket set. I’m not a huge fan of Toyota’s. They’re fine for me and my 4R and Tundra. But my parents are 76 and 77. They would benefit from boards that are a little wider and easier to stand on.

Any suggestions for aftermarket options?

My 2017 SR5 now has a set of factory rock rails which cannot be used as a step, even for my 3 year old grandson. As I step into my runner I am glad my legs and pants do not touch the rock rails. I have them to protect the body from rocks, curbs, other hard hits.
My daughter's 2019 SR5 has factory running boards and they work well for a step. My 5'4 daughter, her 6'2 husband and her 3year old son use the running boards every day with success.
They seem just right as a step.

6th Gen is brand new, so it'll be a few until more running boards show up.

Some rock sliders can work as a step but I think the OEM ones would be the best for your parents(pretty sure they are the same as the 5th gen). I took mine off and gave them to my mother in law and she likes them.

Just be sure to get the proper running boards and not the predator style one.
