Within the past two days my 4runner started to blow lonly cold air at idle while the heat was full blast while the engine is warm, but thenn I drive and rpms go 2+ it'll blow the hot air. So yesterday I checked my fluids, oil looked perfect, I topped off the anti freeze because I thought the heater might just not have been getting the fluid needed. And today I go to drive it and I check the anti freeze over flow and the green anti has turned red?? So I didn't drive it this today, I recently seafoamed and it has been running GREAT, so I don't think its a head gasket issue. It blows white smoke until it starts to warm up but it doesn't smell like its burning coolant and like I said the oil looks great. Any opinion are appreciated, thank you!
Sorry for the long post, im in school and I really need to get it running right soon as possible.
My thoughts are, clogged heater hose, the WP is on its way out, or there's a leak in one of the hoses allowing air to get in.
- Note: the radiator is only two years old and I have a tranny cooler.
