Networking for a new job (QuickBase/Database skills)

Wasn't sure if this is worth posting or not... But I wanted to see if any of you guys may either have a business or work at a business that might be in need of a guy with database development, data processing, inventory and management skills. I currently am certified with Intuit QuickBase and can build just about whatever someone needs.

I'm a bit burned out working for consulting firms and big companies with their crazy office politics... Really would like to find a small down to earth business that I could help out. I like to get to know the folks I work with vs just being a faceless cog in the machine so to speak.

Anyway, if by chance anyone does know someone or have their own business. I am more than happy to provide demos or examples of past work.

Really open to just about anything... Haha

Another great way to network is by starting a blog or writing articles about your area of expertise. This will help you build an audience of people who are interested in what you have to say, and they may eventually become potential employers or clients. Keep in mind that networking takes time and effort, but it's definitely worth it in the end!
