Lol are you removing it off or did it start to come off ? I know it’s a pain sometimes if there’s not enough layers when trying to remove it... been there done that lol ...

A few years ago when I bought my 4th gen, the previous owner sprayed a few things that I decided to peel and had the same problem. It’s an installation problem not a product problem. When you spray something with Plasti Dip, the first coat goes on at medium coverage with each coat thereafter at full coverage. If you do five or six good coats, there shouldn’t be any issues peeling it.

I have professionally painted 2016 trail front bumper cover if you would like it. I installed a SSO Slimline bumper and winch so I don't need it anymore.

It started peeling in one spot, must have took on a rock or giant bug. When i did it, i used 8 coats. Sprayed it all day long. Wd40 and a plastic scraper made short, but messy work of it. Just had to make sure all the oils got removed before sanding and repainting. To me its not worth the time and effort for it to last less then a year. I knew it wasn't durable to begin with, but when i haven't made the first payment and needed the ugly to go away it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Appreciate the offer, just repainted mine.

Same thing happened to me. I used 8 coats, and it still came off in pieces.
I used nail polish remover from the dollar store and it came right off.

I'm guessing the sun and heat deteriorates it overtime. Yes, I did apply enough coats and prepped the area before applying. I'm glad I didn't spray my wheels with it.

It does come off easy. You didn't apply it right. I know you said you used 8 coats, but maybe you didn't do it before it completely dried? You need at least 5 coats and do it before it dries on each coat.

Nope, i applied as per the cans directions. Don't change anything, I'm done with it. Paint and be done with it, just like all the years before.

Had a large front emblem on my other car blacked out with plastidip, it lasted for several years without more than a couple rock chips. Decided to redo it with paint. A week later my emblem looked like it had chrome chickenpox. Crappy paint maybe but either way I’m going back to Plasti dip - simple, cheap, works.

if you dont coat, the plastidip it isnt as good...
I did my grill on my 04, lasted about 3 years till I sold it.
