I am having a problem with the new-to-me 4Runner I just purchased last week. I drove to school, cruise control engage and worked, and then on the way home it did not work at all. I drove to work later that night, no engage, drove back, and engage!
My horn works, headlights work, brake lights work, turn signals work, and cruise control light stays on and is getting power. I think I have nailed it down to the "pedal switch".
I've read threads on this issue, but for me, I am a visual learner. Here is some pictures I snapped from the brake pedal, looking upward. The brake pedal arm can be found on the right side of the picture, going straight up.
I just need a little help locating, as well as knowing the adjustments that should be made to making the Cruise Control consistently work. I apoligize if I am beating a dead horse, I just did not see another picture on this forum regarding a picture of said pedal switch. I do the majority of my driving on the interstate, so cruise control is a must!
