New 4runner owner

Whatsup everyone. I joined the TR4 movement a month ago by buying a 94 4runner...and i think sadly I inherited a bad money pit. My 94 Cherokee gave me the bird and decided to go out on me so I had to buy another 4x4 for me and my family. I bought this tow yard 4runner for $1,000 thinking "ok with the rest of my bugdet I can fix everything on it" well I already spent over $2,700 just getting the timing belt, cat converter, timing belt bolts and transmission diog done. If i had a service manual I could have done it myself for me being a amatuar wrench. It still has alignment problems, 4x4 seloniod needs replacement, slugde in the flippin motor and still the trans selenoid is backed up....im guessing the original owners arnt car knowlegable and are not nice to vehicles. Sorry if this thread seems long and too detailed but this is my 5th vehicle in 3 years and im sick of car shopping and want a vehicle longer than 1 year plus I know 4runners have a good reputation "if" they are treated right. any suggestions on where to start first?:noidea:

Welcome to the forum. U came to the right place. Probably should post ur questions over in the Classics Section(best!). Did u check 'er out before u bought it? Salvage title? Run a quart of tranny fluid in place of ur motor oil to help get rid of the sludge. Good luck.
