new alternator now have VSC light and ABS light on

Battery icon came on the other day in my 05 V6 so i had a new alternator put on and fixed that. Now the abs and traction control dash lights are on. Is there a reset for these? I also noticed the window quick down switch doesn't work now. If anyone has any ideas i sure would appreciate it, thanks

yea theres a reset for it. Search for yaw/decent control zero point calibration find the intstructions to use a jumper wire and not an obdII scan tool. and then theres also a reset for the auto window functions you have to set the rear window, sunroof (if aplicable), and driver window. Search for auto window function calibration/reset.

There are several ways of resetting the light. The easiest is to disconnect the battery. This will erase everything. Clock, radio presets, window auto open and close points, etc. Another option is to pull the EFI fuse. That will erase the codes causing the light.

Now for me, I would be concerned about why the light is on. Replacing the alternator shouldn't cause that. I would go to a local parts store and have them scan the code to see what it is. The scan tool can also delete the code and reset the light.

Your auto down and up need to be relearned because they obviously disconnected the battery to replace the alternator. At least they should have. You might find the source of the problem if they didn’t.

I am thinking the indicators are on because the battery was inhooked. Ive never had a problem at all before this. I guess i will unhook the battery and see what's up from there. Thanks
