hi every one, im jd and i have a 90 t4r 4x4 5spd on 33s. im in tallahassee florida right now but moving to springhill area next week.

ok for the question. i got this truck in a trade and it wasnt running all to well.
What i fixed was a bad ground wire and it helped a little. but it is bogging out bad when u hit the gas fast. when u give it little gas it revs fine. ran the codes and not getting any. checked mafs, codes, plugs, wires, mostly does it when cold. lmk what yall think. ill post a pic

Good looking truck, welcome!

I don't like my 4.30 gears either, but I'm hoping I'll like them a little better when I get around to swapping to a manual trans.

manual trans will help out a lot

Truck looks good, More of them should have came with that tire carrier! I had 33s with the v6 and a 5speed in my 92 xcab pickup, I didn't thin it was too bad at all. Anyone who really hates the 3vze, owned one with an auto.

Really? I had 33s on my v6 5spd and it was ok but at take off I could feel the 4runner struggle...4.88s and bam felt oh so sweet lol

I have 4.30's and 31s with an automatic, and even my fresh 22re struggles to get up hills or maintain 70 on the freeway, just no top end at all. I'm looking forward to a manual, I'm guessing it'll free up a significant chunk of power.
