New Armor is on: Addicted Off Road Tube Bumper!

Well, after my little fender bender back in March, I now have my new bumper on.

Looks a little odd, but then I knew it would be like that (lots of "exposed" mechanical stuff that the factory bumper covers up.)

I'll probably take some snips to those liner pieces that are hanging down, just to clean it up a bit.

By contrast, here's what she looked like when I drover her home almost two years ago:

Next "mod": Tires. I'll probably stick with the BFG AT KOs but I may go to a taller/skinnier tire, 235/85/16.

Definitely stoked about the bumper, though!

Also I should add that Scott at Addicted Off Road in Greeley was great to deal with! He's also got some wickedly cool 4runners at his shop.

BTW, the paint is "Hammerite" from a rattle-can. AOR doesn't sell their bumpers painted but it was a pretty simple afternoon project for me to clean it (with brake cleaner), then prime and paint. The finish looks really good! It's a "hammered metal" finish that is a sort of charcoal gray.

Here's a close up and even it doesn't do the finish justice, you really have to see it in person.

Looks good. Do you have plans to paint all that exposed stuff black that your OEM bumper was hiding?

Paint the exposed area the same color as the bumper and it all blends in together.
