New awning question

I’ve never owned an awning before and I’m curious as to how you guys would set up the awning if it was opened on hard surfaces like pavement ?

The legs have pointy ends and that makes it very unstable on hard surfaces.

Just like any other awning, use dead weight, ..rocks, cooler, in-laws.....

There's a number of options out there, I've seen weights to go around the legs, buckets you put the legs in and fill with sand or rocks or the bags that look like old school leg warmers you can fill with sand or dirt and wrap.around the leg

Go buy 2 15lb workout weight plates or dumbells ...Dicks Sporting, Academy, etc... tie on to plate/dumbell.

This works well for me. Easy to store and will hold in light/mod wind..I also have 20lbs weights when is a tad breezier that work nicely... At some point nothing works and you're better off not to deploy to avoid damage.

Here's what you do, find out the pointy end measurement diameter (just to make sure it will fit)...then go buy 3 1 1/2 x 1 1/2" Square washers for each pole. Also buy some JB weld steel stick and some cheap rubber matting. All of these things can be purchased for around 10 bucks. Use the steel stick to glue three washers together, then use any super glue, gorilla glue, or silicone to glue measured cut squares of the rubber matting to the bottom of your washers. Now you have non slip pole attachments for pavement that you can keep handy in a storage spot in your vehicle. This allows you to keep the poles in original condition for use on natural ground as well.
