New BFG KO2 275 70 17

I've been eyeing these tires for a little while now. Finally pulled the trigger seeing winter fast approaching. Bought them from Tirebuyer.com for $799. Then there's a $70 mail-in-rebate. Then a $20 of coupon and finally $20 if using one of their installers, which there are plenty of. The tire shop I go to was one of their installers so it worked perfectly and was only $60 for the installation. Total price with installation and tax was $880.

My first impression of the tires was wow, these things look good. I have them mounted on 2007 FJ Cruiser rims, which I was a little worried about rubbing with the backspacing on those rims, but there's no rubbing at all. I have a Tundra/890/Billy 5100 lift. I've taken them down some nice bouncy trails and went over some NJ potholes and still no rub. They run very quiet at all speeds, even 90MPH. olice: No shakes at all. They took almost no weights to balance. I honestly didn't know what to expect with the E-rated tires but I can't tell the difference in drivability with the stiffer sidewall. We'll see about gas mileage however. They weigh 52lbs a piece so that's got to affect mileage a little.

What will fit on my 4runner?

Hi I am new to this forum idk how to find a thread on this but I'm sure there is something to help me with fitment. I have a 99 4runner limited 4x4 with OME front and rear shocks about 3 inches in the front and rear. I currently have fj cruiser 17s with Goodyear wrangler duratrac LT265/70R17 but I need to run a 1.5inch spacer so that it doesn't rub the UCA. I don't want to run the spacer and I want to switch to KO2 tires. What size tire will I need to run so that I don't need a spacer? 245/60r17? I wouldn't want to spend good money on a set of 4 tires only to find out they still rub without spacer.

I'm surprised you are rubbing the UCA with that tire size. That is just +1" from the stock size. I run that with 5th gen 4Runner wheels with no rubbing issues anywhere, and I can't even see how the tires would hit the upper control arms.

Another fix might be new upper control arms for more clearance and to help get the alignment right with the 3" lift.

But this is the 3d Gen forum - 16 inch wheels, not 17 as on a 5th Gen. Stock on a 3d Gen is 265/70/16. If OP went to a 275/70/17 then he went from a 30.6" to a 32.16" tire. That's bigger than the normal "biggest on a stock" 265/75/16, which is 31.65".
