After owning 6 Jeep Cherokees and 1 wrangler, got a 2000 4 Runner Limited in Oct. 2012, and don't plan on going back to Jeep. Only changes so far are 32" tires and 2" lift. Plan on adding a mini Bull bar to protect its long snout from steep approaches. Can't wait to take it to Moab and see how it does compared to my deceased 98 Cherokee. Have a couple of questions I'll take to another thread.

Welcome to T4R.ORG! Adding a mini bull bar will only decrease ur approach angle. Better to go with a MarlinCrawler, ARB, or CBI. They'll increase ur approach angle and be a lot stronger.

Thanks for the reply. I don't do a lot of really rough off road, was mainly interested in protecting the lower plastic panel (valiance)? on the bumper. Have thought about putting an earlier model panel on it that doesn't stick out like the 2000. Can you tell me more about the Marlincrawler, ARB & CBI. I'm not familiar with those. I don't want a big bulky front guard.

Marlin, unfortunately, doesn't make a bumper to fit ur year, but arb and cbi do. I think Shrockworks does also. Check the Vendors section.
