New from NY

Hi folks --

Husband and I are buying our first 4Runner and I am beyond psyched to pick it up early next week.

It will be my car for daily stuff as well as a variety of dog activities (we have 4), so field driving and such for trials and shows. And, we live in semi-rural NY so there is that aspect of every-day life. IE: we'll be at the car wash a lot.

Have a few questions on accessories and will start a thread around that, but am looking forward to hearing what folks use in/on their runners.

She's Home

We took delivery of the new Runner on Monday (yay!):

I'm new to the forum, just got out of a 10 yr old Tundra into a new 2013 4Runner Limited.

Nice looking ride. I just picked the exact same truck up last Saturday except mine came with a pair of Labradors in the back I notice you didn't get the Toyota running boards. What a disaster with the body molding at the bottom of the door. You can't get your foot on the damn thing. I'm already past the local dealer and talking to Toyota corporate about it. If you find something that works with the door molding please drop me a line.

You should check out the N-FAB Side Step Bars. Those look great on the 5th Gens.

Thanks for the tip. As I'm getting older I was looking for something wider and flatter to step on. I had nerf bars on the tundra. Not much from N-FAB for the 2013 models and I haven't found anything that moves the step out away from the molding under the door. I may try to mod the ones that came with the truck. Someone in engineering at toyota never tried to get in with the factory steps. :-(
