New G1 Owner In Knoxville

Now, this is in no way my first vehicle, truck, project, or Toyota, but it is my first 4Runner, and my first offroader. Gotta go over everything tomorrow, but what I do know is it's an '86 with roughly a 5" lift on 35" Baja Claw Radials. 5 speed manual with a rebuilt 22RE that runs great. It was originally red, but repainted tan not too long ago. Overall not rusty or damaged, but still pretty rough. The interior is gutted with only a dash and seats. I plan to take it to Windrock this weekend after I inspect everything and fix the exhaust (I didn't feel too good after the drive home). As of right now, the only real question I have is about gearing. I believe it's still got the factory 4.10's, which make it absolutely chug. I did some reading, and 4.88 or 5.29 would be recommended, but are there any sets that I can pull from something like an FJ60 that will drop into the stock rear axle and help me out any? And if I change the rear, do I change the fronts with the same setup? I'm not planning to make a rock crawler, but just a fun trail truck

Well it looks like it has a 3" body lift, and 3" suspension. Not sure what's done with the front, but the rear is on 3" blocks. I took it down to the base of the yard to see how bad the articulation is, and the rear wheel picked right up off the ground. I've already gone out and picked up some 2" rear springs, which hopefully will be enough to clear these 35's. I also posted on craigslist asking if anyone wants to trade for some 33's. Also, it still has the factory shocks all around. Will they work ok with a 2" lift? Or do I need to get some Rancho's or something?

Well, I pulled it apart and the stock shocks were at full extension when the truck was on the ground. Picked up some Rough Country 8000 shocks for $130 and now it rides pretty well and has lots of travel. Need to get some ball joint spacers for the front. The torsion bars are cranked way up and the CV's are at a pretty harsh angle. In low range, the 4.10's with 35's held up ok, but on the highway to and from was no fun. I like these tires, so I make keep them and get some proper gears. I'll upload some video sometime soon, but here are a few pictures.
