hey guys. just joining up, i've been looking on this and some other forums for awhile at different 1st gen 4runners. so now im looking for one. i've found a couple good ones but that was before i had the money to buy them and they sold quick.

here's a quick run down of some of my recent vehicles.

my 2006 f150 that i sold last year

i used it for my DD and to play offroad some. now i've realised that i need a toy for offroad and a nice reliable DD that i won't mess up offroad. so i got this 2012 f250 and installed the lift wheels and tires to make it look nice.

here is the samurai that i bought for the toy and i sold it at the begining of this year. haha i wish i would have kept the 85 yota axles that were under it now.

and here i am now. i have a nice DD but no toy for driving to the river or playing in our pastures. so im looking.

Welcome to the forum! I'm just up the street in Marietta. Hope you find the 1st gen you're looking for. There use to be a really nice 1st gen for sale in Forsyth county on craigslist but not sure it is still up or not.

thanks, yeah i only really go up to Marietta to go by 4wheelparts. seems like every decent looking one i find has about 300k miles with the motor going out.

like last week a very nice 85 popped up on craigslist for like $2500 and within like 2 days the ad was down.

I gotcha. The one up in cumming was practically restored. It had a freshly rebuilt 22re and brand new 32" BFG km2s. Guy started out asking 8500, but quickly changed his post to 5000, and I figured if he really wanted to get rid of it he could be talked down a little bit more. But man was it nice.

Yeah I was going to get one the other day. An 85 had new paint and motor. No rust or dents. I called the guy and said I would get it the next day. When I called him back somebody was on the way to get it. Now I'm looking for a first generation Bronco too. If I can find a decent shape one for the right price I may get it and semi restore it.
