I currently own a 2012 Tacoma TRD Off Road with 60k. I'm looking at a privately owned 2014 TE. It is the base model with 6000 miles, no KDSS. The only option besides the Trail Edition is carpeted trunk and floor mats and Navigation. The asking price is 33000. Does that sound reasonable? He is firm on price and it matches what KBB says. I would like the TEP for the heated seats and sunroof but I can't find any for under 35000.

I just got back from the dealer. I put down a deposit on a 2015 TEP with KDSS,, carpet mats and rigid running boards. Paid 500 over invoice price and got a tax benefit by trading my Tacoma. They gave me 26000 for my 2012 TRD Off Road so I only paid 6 percent sales tax on 11500 dollars. It's at the port now and I should have it by the end of the month.

I'm going to be happy for the extra room over the Tacoma. Just spent a small fortune over at cargo liner.com getting a cargo liner for the dog and I don't even have the vehicle yet.

Now I'm trying to decide on what floormats to get and whether or not to pay a company to do paint protection on the leading edge of the good to prevent rock chips. I have weathertech a in the Tacoma but the gray color shows lots of heel scuffs.

Picked it up tonight. Dealer found one in Virginia 140 miles away and went and got it for me. Used the Truecar buying service and ended up with a 2015 TEP with KDSS, floormats and cargo cover for a price that I was happy with.

Just got the Expel paint protection film applied to the whole front end to protect from road debris and rock chips. Got a set of Weathertechs in black for $169 shipped as well. Next up will be Formula One Pinnacle series tint 40% all the way around and the Formula Air 20% on the windshield. I couldn't find a better tint for heat rejection and I'm trying to keep the interior as cool as possible for the K9.
