New(ish) '02 Sport I found at a Salvage Auction

I'm returning to the T4R forums after a dry spell. Sold off my other 4Runners a few years ago, got a big boy truck ('13 F150 Ecoboost), and now that I moved home to Colorado I've found myself with the T4R bug.

I've been looking for 6 months for a clean, low mileage but they are ridiculously hard to find. I see some of you guys selling them for $10k or MORE! Crazy.

Anyways... here is my find.

Core Support looks like it can be straightened. I grew up doing body work at my dads shop but it's a little different doing it in your driveway. Everything else is paint and swap.

Shoot that thing isn't hurt at all. I feel your pain on not having the shop available. I OWNED my own body shop for 14 years, now I only have my hand tools and some basic body stuff. I still do things, just not as easily as I'd like to. I'll give you $2500 for that thing right now HAHA. You buy high and sell low right?

Since luck isn't a factor, have fun working on that thing!

Tasty will be the theme, Bijan. I do IT and I'll drive this for work and play, every other guy in IT seems to drive a Honda Fit and I refuse so this is my compromise so I don't have to wear out my truck.

I'm thinking some 5th Gen Rims with some moderately meaty tires with a 2" lift. Bluetooth Stereo is on its way, 20" LED lightbar is here. After repair, clean up the paint, mechanical maintenance then time to play with the lift, tires, exhaust, Supercharger maybe??

We will see.

My first vehicle bought online. My neighbor, a former car salesman offered me to go with him to a car auction this week to select a car for me. I haven't talked much about the details with him. I have never been to a car auction, so I have a lot of unanswered questions.
I've been doing my homework for a few months, learning a lot of things about car auctions, picked up things slowly and had a plan to buy a decent 4-7-year-old Toyota Hyundai under 100k mil.
After all the struggle I did succeed buying a car and hope no problems will appear. Maybe I did get lucky!

OP, nice find and I bet you will do great things with it. Way to show the IT world sound vehicle investing. I could practically trade in my 17 year old vehicles for brand new Fits...bet they wont say that about Honda Fits in 17 years...
