New, just bought my 2003 4Runner

Hi all! I'm Amanda, 19 years old from Boise, Idaho (Uhh, go Broncos!?)

I just bought a 2003 4Runner Limited 4x4. I love it!

This is like the third or fourth 4Runner we'd had in the family, but the first of this generation. I just sold my 2005 Scion tC and replaced it with this guy for winter.

177,000 miles. I THINK it needs a new Cam Sensor, and definitely new tires.

I'm thinking about Plastidipping the front bumper that's all screwed up, and the wheels. Both have been affected by road salt.

Other than that, I'm basically in love with it. It's much larger than the older generations, but it seems to be basically the same great vehicle overall (:

Really looking forward to being a member of the forum, seems like an awesome community!

I just attached the pictures the dealer used when he posted the ad, I haven't had a chance to take any of my own. (:

I had a 2005 in the same color, great truck, tons of extra more room than the previous 4Runner generations. feels like a stadium in there compared to other models

I owned it when I was living outside Philadelphia and made many trips between Philly and Vermont to go snowboarding. I did add 3-4" of lift and had 33" tires and with that modification that truck was UNSTOPPABLE.

Congrats on the purchase

Thanks! I'm kind of iffy on the color. I thought I liked it when I bought it, but now I don't think I do so much. It seems like it always looks dirty.
 
Looks like it's in GREAT shape. You're a lucky gal!

If you think that looks dirty all the time... you should try it in black.

Haha! Black is the color I was looking for. I just ended up with the blue. But that's probably for the best!

Black looks awesome when you can keep it clean. I used to wash mine at least once a week, if not twice. I would also wax it two or three times a month........that was before we had twins.....lol. Now i am lucky if i can wash it once a month.....as far as wax.....i am ashamed to say it hasn't been waxed in over four years. I know this because they just turned 4 in July.....lol

Haha, well that's okay. I'm sure the car understands. (; I can't image how busy you must be with matching four-year-olds!
