Don't bother with a conversion. Just pop down to Guatemala and drive a factory built LHD one back home.Wow. I wonder how much it would cost to get a left hand drive conversion.

Sorry for the thread revival but if you look on the bright side, at least this horrible idea of this "Defender" coming to the US will finally kill the ridiculous prices of the 93-97 NAS Defenders.
Yea you're right but the market has steadily been going down. Looking at 97 D90s with the auto transmission, they were at a little over 40 grand with about 70,000-100,000 miles in February when I was considering purchasing one, and now I can find those vehicles closer to 30. The 110's will never go down until like you said the 25 year rule reaches it's model year.Won't change a thing, especially on the 94-97 Soft Tops, as i have discussed on another forum they won't lose their value, the NAS 110 has that epic external cage. And there were not really too many Station wagon models so they will hold their value due to low supply as 1995 there were only 500 station wagons, and the 1997 models whether soft top or wagon will definetley hold their value as they are automatics the only year ever for a defender to have an automatic besides the 1998 UK special editions which was essentially a NAS spec defender in RHD.
This vehicle won't change the prices, its the 25 year exemptions allowing us to import the 83-86 110's and the 84-86 90's that are helping making the market a little easier to get a defender, but i doubt you will see the day the NAS ones lose their value to a lower cost than they are currently at...
