New member from Orange County, CA

Hey everyone. My name's Anthony and I'm about to buy a 2002 4Runner. I currently own a '95 DC4 Acura Integra (which I never finished), but it's time to grow up and get a car that will have more room for camping, road trips, etc. I also want a car I can take my girlfriend and dog around in comfortably. I've done a lot of research on 4Runners and I'm really excited to finally pick one up.

It's a black 2002 SR5 4WD automatic (Will post pics when I get it! Sorry for the delay!).

Edit: Here are the pics! Took her off road for the first time today with a fellow 4Runner owner. I've never done this before, coming from a Honda scene, and I had a lot of fun.

Thanks! I just picked up my 4Runner today and will be posting photos tomorrow. I love this car already! Feels weird not being low to the ground anymore and cutting corners, but this car drives smooth and is in clean shape.

Awesome! We should get together sometime and hit up Holy Jim falls. I just did it today for the first time and it was great!

Holy Jims is really just a flat road, and it's since been paved. If you go a little further up to Silverado Canyon- you can take Main Divide all the way to Hwy 74.

We took the Ortega up to Main Divide and went the long way up to Santiago Peak. Then we went down Maple Springs to Silverado Canyon. It took pretty much all day. It was a blast. The trail is pretty rocky in places and very narrow. I recommend going durring the week to minimize the amount of traffic you will encounter. A lot of backing up to find a place to wait, and pass by oncoming vehicles.

You can make it up to Holy Jim trail head in a regular passenger car. We took my wife's Jetta up there last time we went LOL. There was a Prius in the parking area if that tells you anything.

Here is a page I used to check out places around here to get the truck dirty. I grew up off-roading in San Bernardino County and was unfamiliar. It helped me figure out where to go. They also have maps and trail guides / reviews for just about anywhere.
