I have recently decided to make the jump and try and buy a 4runner. I'd been looking at wranglers, tacomas, FJs, XTerras, but out of all of them I just really like the look/feel of a 4runner.
The love affair started when I appraised (I work at CarMax) someone's 2000 4runner limited with 40k miles... Yeah. It was immaculate, and being the idiot that I am I didn't buy it after they sold it to our store. I recently had another opportunity on a 2002 with 130k miles, but unfortunately they sold it elsewhere and after I found out the other dealership, that place had already sold it to someone else entirely.
So, after spending hours upon hours on your site lurking and learning as much as I can, I'm going to start the hunt in earnest, and want to continue learning while I look for a 4runner of my own.
