New Member, long time Toyota 4x4 owner and long time IH8MUD.com member. Haven't owned a 4Runner for years but my 15 year old is hoping to drive a 3rd gen for his first car. Consequently I have been patrolling the Web for a nice clean 3rd gen at a reasonable price.
Would prefer to buy local but I will also travel if necessary. Loads of good stuff to look at on the 4sale thread and the prices really seem pretty reasonable.
I am extremely picky and patient and always find exactly what I want (so far). Hopefully that will be the case here. Have seen a lot of low mileage 3rd gens for sale but they always seem to be 1000+ miles away. There are a lot of them rolling around here just not much for sale and corrosion is a concern.
Right now I am just trying to educate myself on these and drive as many as possible until I find the right one.
My wife drives a 2011 Rav4 V6 and daughter drives a 1996 Rav4 with only 73,000 miles in pristine condition. Both AWD.
