Hey Jim, someones got a keen eye on CL 4Runners :eyebrows:. You may've missed me at the 790 stop, moved into town last summer (I didn't die haha).
Yeah, I was planning to keep it for much longer than a year, new job doesn't pay for gas unless I go more than 60 miles though
. So the 4Runner only gets driven like once or twice a week now.Definitely shoot the link to anyone interested, only had one non-lowball person interested so far.

Unknown sadly. I was given no records when I bought the truck (no TB sticker on the plastic belt cover either), only paperwork is stuff I've collected. Can assume it was probably done somewhere around 100k, but would probably need that work done within the next 20k miles to be safe.
Also have the OEM Toyota axle that just needs to be re-booted, has one of those "shoddy" auto store axles in for the time being.

Welcome, I'm down in Alamogordo area.
Wow, its like I have the ugly beat up twin brother to yours. LOL Mine is getting transformed right now from pretty much stock like it was here (just FJ springs and shocks in the rear) to a Sonoran steel 1.2 lift and then new km2 255-85-16s is that what size you are running here?

Thanks guys. I actually have the KM2s on 255 85 16s. Will probably order some UCAs here in a bit. Has anyone run the LR ones around here? or what do you guys recommend?

LR are kinda cheap, ive seen one break at the weld, but it depends on what you will be doing and how much you want to spend. the most popular ones are Total Chaos and camburg but are a little pricey.
and thats for tacomas but we share the exact same front suspension setup. so im assuming the same will apply for t4r's.

I run the LR UCAs. I use the hell out of my truck and am not worried about the LR Arms failing. While not the flashiest design out there, the welds on mine look good along with the rest of their construction. As far as how they compare to other UCAs out there, FOR ME, it was the right choice. No other arm on the market has any adjustment whatsoever designed into them. Other arms have a couple degrees built in but the LRs are adjustable to have your alignment dialed in. I have also had heims before and for a daily driver that sees all kinds of terrain on the weekends, the sealed oversized balljoint is a much better idea than an open spherical rod end. An end that would require more and more care and maintenance down the road. The ball joint is easily replaceable when the time comes. It also didnt hurt that i got a screaming deal on them from Metal Tech 4x4. I am happy with my purchase and glad i didnt spend $250-$500 more on another brand.

I've been researching Paliza Canyon, and I think it might be worth checking out. I'm just not sure I want to head up there solo, in case I get in trouble.

Unfortunately I don't have any days off thanks to UNM's useless ME scheduling coordinator. ( I had fridays off until I got forced into a Friday morning lab because the lab I was already signed up for was "too full")
Next weekday I will have off is Wednesday the 27th..

Damn. I work the 27th. BUT!! I do have the next three... yes, count 'em.... THREE weekends off. This run looks like it could be a lot of fun. I don't think there will be as much snow as there was in the pics on that 2nd link, but I'm sure there will be enough to make it interesting.
I figure if we can make it through, we can come back down FR 289 and skirt the north side of Bandalier, drop in on Cochiti Lake and return that way.

Angel fire is on the back burner now even though I still technically work there. Im back to working in Abq, I usually work saturdays and have sundays off.
TW is planning a meet for the weekend of the 22nd to distribute girl scout cookies we all ordered from one guys daughter. Probably on sunday the 23rd.
