Thanks...yeah, I wasn't exactly convinced I liked the new design myself when I first saw it. But the more I starred at it, and the more I thought about what I could do with it, the more I liked it...lol. Actually, I loved the interior layout/quality and overall ride immediately so I was sold.
How do you like your Borla muffler? I am thinking about adding something to give a bit more beef to the exhaust sound, but not sure yet if I would be happy as want to avoid any ricer sounding system.

Nothing Ricer about the Borla. It is a straight tube:
Straight through no baffles...and all stainless
And a new stainless Cherry Bomb Tip..
I had a Flowmaster for about 5 years but it rusted through on the bottom
where the baffles are welded inside. The Borla sounds a bit deeper than the Flowmaster 40 that I had on there.
So, now we have two Pauls on the local Thread...

I had a Full Race exhaust on my twin-turbo V6 in my F150. It didn't give a deep rumble like a V8, but it sounded very purposeful and sporty with no hint of ricer either. So was hoping I could something similar for the 4.0L. I was thinking the Borla or Magnaflow (which I have used a lot in the past).
Good to see another Paul....sure will be easy to remember each other’s names...lol. :cheers:

Hey guys, have my oem 4runner wheels for sale, asking 300 for all 4, also have a set of General Grabber AT2's in 265/70/17 with about 70% tread left, asking 450 for all 4. Santa fe area

^^^ Dang, that reminds me; I need to sell my 2014 TE wheels and Dunlop tires with about 50 miles on them, along with factory roof rack and suspension. I guess I need to post in the forum classified section and on Craig's List.

Redrock east of Silver north of Lordsburg .... Hello
My first 4runner, July this year from a guy in Tucson, and it is a 1994, 4wd, man trans. with hurst shifter, and lifted with clearance = 22" from front bumper to the ground, 18" from rear bumper to the ground and 15' from the running boards to the ground.
Drove in to town and out of snow & up and down from Redrock, 6 miles on dirt roads in 2wd. Yee Haahh, what a Truck !!!
Another trip Drove in snow from lordsburg into silver before grader and snow equip. cleared the hi way, and cut right thru with bf Goodrich 31 x 10.50 x 15's on vision warrior wheels.
Just patched up passenger running board rear curved end that bolts to the inner fender, with shoe goo, as it got ripped off and cut was vertical top to bottom on some mesquite. OOOOPSS ! Letting it cure and will let you guys know if it held. Looks like I will not brace it, just let the shoe goo repair do its stuff. Both ends will be secured so it will not fall off, just in case shoe goo can't take it.
Need to upgrade stereo, and get winch and front bar this year, no hurry though. First priority = will upgrade to synthetic soon.

Maybe, Just Maybe.... I was wondering if anyone with a 4th gen that has a 3rd row seat would be willing to let me borrow it. I'm taking the fam bam on vacation at the end of March and it would be nice to have the extra seats. When I bought mine a couple of years back it didn't come with it. I know its kinda a weird thing to borrow but I haven't found one cheap to buy yet. maybe we can work out a deal...

Nice! How much did you pay for it? My 2000 looked similar 6 months ago. I decided to replace the old bumper with an AOR plate bumper and a super winch. It's a tad heavy for the stock suspension so I'm going to replace it with the Toytec boss lift as soon as I sell my Harley. Anyone want to buy a Harley?

Hey All, new to the forum, new to 4runners. Loving all the info available on here, looking forward to the runner being a long-term project. Picked up an '01 SR5 Auto. Stock as hell but still love it so far. Replaced a '98 Taco SR5 with Rear Locker to have more room for the family. In ABQ area.
