Hey everyone! Bought my first 4th gen 4Runner about a month ago and LOVE it so far. Just wanted to say Hi and maybe find some interest in a T4R off road group. I see this treads not very popular but maybe we all could get it going. Anyone interested?

Thanks for the welcome Tuxedo Runner and Desert Dawg! Took the truck on a quick overnight camping trip a couple of weekends ago, I'm really impressed with the drive quality difference, on and off-road, of the runner over the taco.

Question, is the old La Bajada road doable with a stock 3rd gen? '01 SR5, so no rear locker, just the center diff lock. I've also read that you need permission from the Pueblo of Cochiti to take the road?

Where were those pics taken? Looks like a decent spot and I'm always looking for good camping spots near ABQ. I usually end up in the Jemez.

I've never driven the La Bajada road so I have no idea. But I'm willing to give it a try. I'm not entirely stock but I also still don't have a lift.

I would avoid La Bajada in a stock 4Runner, last time [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] and I were there it was pretty rough. I heard after that there were no plans to try and re-grade it to make it easier.

A buddy and I drove the Valles Caldera just this past weekend. Nice and muddy, it was fun! That's his LX behind the Runner.

I wasn't planning on going out but I am always looking for an excuse to get some dirt on the tires. Although me and my stock (for now) 4th gen can't do a whole lot... we sure can try!

Im stock too, I was thinking of taking the kiddos out with this one so nothing too crazy. I was thinking of doing Cedro Peak.

Never been there but it looks like it is behind the crest on the dirt road that connects Cedar Crest & the road that takes you to the Crest

I will probably be stopping by the Ranger station in Tijeras before we go to the trails around 11. If you dont know where it is it is just south of I40.

Hey guys! Bought my 4runner about 2 years ago. Haven't done much with it as far as having fun besides a 12 day road trip, camping, and a couple mud spots. It's a '97 Limited Edition. Completely stock. Want to slowly start doing some Mod's and a few cosmetic fixes. It was in a roll over accident but still runs like a champ.
