Thanks. I took it to B & G in Mesilla Park they did a good job. They replaced the steering rack bushings with Poly ones as well as the Alignment. No wander at all.
Love B&G, they've always been really good with custom specs. :rockon:

Hey i'm interested in the stock wheels from 2008. I have the same ones on my 07. I would be interested in the 16" wheel and tire package, but I'm pretty sure that the wheel size wont fit on mine cause of the stock caliper size for the sport edition. But I could be wrong, that's just what i've found from research. If you could send me some more pics of the 17" ones that'd be great! Can you text them to me? 406-270-7613

I just caught this reply, sorry.
I'm pretty busy, and the wheels are all boxed up in my shed. To be clear, they are all in great shape with no curb rash or damage, and the clear coat is in great shape. They are 10 year old wheels so they have some superficial scuffs and whatnot, but if you want perfect wheels you are going to have to buy new.
At $300, this is one of the cleanest sets you will find. I will try to get pictures of each wheel sometime soon, but no promises.

Took a quick little trip today and ran the Chain of Craters road south of Grants. The road right now is in excellent shape and could easily be ran in 2wd, it’s usually impassable if it’s really wet. I wanted something easy like this because I’m still recovering from knee surgery. I didn’t take many pics but here’s some that I did take. We ran the trail from west to east so we started in the Zuni mountains and dropped into the desert.
Good day for a drive since it was so windy and dusty today.

Looks like a great time! Honestly didn't even know of the trails in that area. Let me know next time you go out. I'm always looking for an excuse to get some dirt on the tires.

I will. There's quite a few trails over here. Probably going to do a Route 66 casino to Rio Rancho via the back roads soon.

I'm a Gen 4 V8 (2005 Sport Edition) owner for a year and a half or so now. I'm looking for an expert shop or mechanic for this vehicle in the Santa Fe / Albuquerque area.
I love this little truck! I live out in the boonies between Santa Fe and Albuquerque off of HWY 14 on a really rough dirt road, so its suspension gets a regular workout. It has developed a minor irritating clunk that I'd like to resolve. The vehicle was well maintained and completely stock when I bought it. I was taking it to ToyAutoMan in Santa Fe for routine oil changes and OEM service. At some point I asked them to solve the clunk. They shotgun trouble shot it and ultimately recommended I replace the front shocks with KYB, which I let them do. This did not fix the clunk at all and merely made the ride quality on the road noticeably worse. I told them this and they just threw their hands up.
Chet's Wheel Alignment in Albuquerque recommended I change the front front control arm lower ball joints when I put KO2s on the car about a year ago. I took it to them a few months ago to diagnose the clunk but they aren't sure replacing the the ball joints will eliminate the clunk. They can put microphones on it and track down the exact source, but it's an expensive process.
Has anyone assembled a list of recommended shops and such to support this machine in New Mexico? I did a few searches against the forum but didn't come up with much. The stock capabilities of the vehicle meet my needs perfectly, so I really don't think I need anything better than OEM, but I am interested in modifying this vehicle in specific and relevant ways using aftermarket suspension hardware that would constitute a quality improvement over OEM for sheer durability.
Any help on shop (or shadetree mechs) recommends would be greatly appreciated!

Aztec Automotive solved the mysterious squeal in my '85 pickup. He maybe had a few false starts, but it was a tricky one and I'm happy now. Fair warning, he's a bit tough to get in touch with and appointments are scheduled a month out, but he's the man for the job in Santa Fe.
