Hello from Las Vegas. I just took delivery of my '13 4Runner (SR5 edition). Before anyone questions why this version rather than the Trail, let me tell you why. I have had many Toyota 4x4's in the past. Starting with a '68 Land Cruiser and continuing with Tundras and Tacomas. Heck my wife owns a Highlander. Our family is Toyota through and through.
I just bought a Moby1 XC off road trailer. My plan was to tow it with an '04 (RWD) 4Runner. It was traded in so I could get the 4x4.
I am handy with tools and found this forum on Expedition Portal so here I am to bone up on what you folks are doing to beef up your ride.
For me, no extreme off roading. Just the satisfaction knowing I can get where some may not.
My first quest is to remove the plastic rock guard below the doors and put something in it's place that is practical and, hopefully, more aesthetic
looking.
So bring it on guys and gals; what are your pros and cons for the first item on my build?
