If you need to save money that much go with DDM and drop them in. If you want premium go with TRS.

True, but if you're really mechanically and financially challenged this may be a good alternative. I'd be curious to see if the quality on these are any good.

FYI, that account has a feedback score of 59 and it's 100%, but NONE of it is as a seller - all as a buyer. Proceed with caution.

You can ask Brilliant about the quality. Im fairly certain these are exactly what he ordered from Russia, except that his are chrome rather than black. And then he modified his with high quality projectors.

I think they look pretty cool. Of course quality will be a question. But Im just glad to finally see a different style headlight available for our trucks. And I think the black housing would be sweet on my black 3rd gen. Ill end up getting a set of these eventually

If you do then definitely come back and review them. They look pretty decent for 180. I comes with 2 headlights and 2 corners right?

Well for 180 I would assume so haha, not necessarily a bad thing but definitely not a good thing either. I'd like to get my hands on a pair to see how well they're built despite the plastic.

Yes they appear to be plastic but I dont see that as being detrimental to the quality of the thing. Lots of new cars have plastic headlights. Dont the 4th and 5th gens have plastic headlights? :peep:

Anyways I just ordered an LED headlight kit. I might go with the above headlights or go with the usual JDM black headlights and corners haven't decided yet..

Heres the LED kit, there are cheaper ones but I think they jip on quality.

The biggest downfalls to plastic lenses is lens fogging/yellowing as well as sub-par protection against debris while traveling. EX: rocks, hail, etc..

Sure, there are plenty of vehicles with plastic headlights.. Mine just wont be one of them :D

Try them out, they might be made well. But only time will tell (after the warranty expires)...

I wonder if one could transfer glass lenses onto these from an oe set of lights. If the dimensions are the same I bet it would work

Yep. My wife has a VW with plastic ones that I have polished at least half dozen times and the fogging always come back worse than before in a matter of months. I hate them.

Once you polish them the first time, they loose the clear coat on the plastic that was protecting them. Next time you polish them lay a piece of PPF (paint protective film) on, and you shoudl eb good to go.

I was thinking the same thing.. Ours has those metal clips that act as extra security for the lense, right? I doubt the plastic ones have that. Not to say that it wouldn't work without them. No one will know until it's been tried.

Who's got money to blow?? lol

According to the description on eBay, no bulbs are included. The depo or tyc brands with glass lens are less than $80 pair. Based on Brilliant's write up, major modification of housing has to be done

the little clips are basically their to make sure the lens seats all the way before the glue cools down, once the glue cools they dont do anything.

I keep breaking my glass headlights, so I might get a set of these and retrofit my fxrs into them. the black ones looks pretty bad ass.

btw I highly doubt the projector lens is plastic. as far the outside being plastic, for me thats an advantage, they wont crack as easily. the 3rd gen is one of very few vehicles that ever cam with clear glass headlights, most clear lensed headlights are plastic and are retrofitted all the time with no ill effects. sure they will turn yellow eventually, but they can be polished and resealed easily or the lens can be replaced.

the stock beam pattern on theoe headlights though are a joke haha.

old but good

Hey guys, I know this thread is old, but I bought a set of these, and aside from the plastic lens, the headlights were actually pretty good quality! I just wish I could still find some since I was in a wreck and busted the drivers side light up beyond repair.

If anyone reads this and knows where I could get a set, including the chrome style I would very much appreciate the help, since I really don't like the look of the retrofit HID's or the stock headlights.

I have a driver side light like these that I would be willing to sell. Sent you a PM.
