My name is Matt and I finally have my first runner! It is a 97 2wd with the 3.4. One family car with 2 owners and service records since new. I am currently getting the paint in decent shape (I don't think the car has ever seen wax) and will be diving into the motor soon...

First up is vc gaskets along with upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, a lower ball joint and some detailing! I can't wait to learn more about these great trucks.

Some cleanup work finally done. Center caps painted, paint clay barred/polished/waxed. Interior deep cleaned to get rid of a terrible baby powder smell! Engine just quickly degreased and washed down. It's coming together.

welcome.

Those wheels look great. if you swap the wheels you may want to consider reversing the tires so the white letters are not visible. just a thought.

sucks to see another green 4Runner with paint issues. this is the 4th one on the forum with peeling green paint.

:lookout:

I will be getting new wheels and tires soon... I just can't keep these silly small tires on this truck. I am making some fun plans and should have a build thread started in the next couple of months!

Check out what a friend gave me!!! Now I need to see what I can sell the wheels / rims for on the truck now to buy some bigger tires to mount on these. What should I ask for the stock size 15's that I just freshly painted? They are Michelin tires with less than 10,000 miles on them and in great shape. Is $500 too much?
