New steering wheel!

Well, kinda. Wrapped in new leather with gray (cement trd pro) centering stripe and red stitching to match seats.

Work done by nw_crafted on IG, located in Everett WA. This is the 3rd wheel they have done for me (mk4 Supra and 911 Turbo) and it’s amazing. Pics don’t do it justice. The materials and craftsmanship are outstanding!

Decided against the Vivid wheel b/c of negative reviews and against the Amazon wrap b/c it just didn’t look good and I doubted it’s longevity.

FYI, cost was roughly of vivid wheel and no faux carbon :) still soaking a fresh coat of Lexol in the pics.

Looks like they did great work. I’d like to see some pics of it installed when/if you can.

Looks good. I have a leather cover on mine from alibaba which I purchased for about $25. Took me about 2 hours to sow because I suck. Looks good enough to me but definitely not as professional as yours.

Post pics when installed !

It’s in. Love it.

Looks much like the one I got in 2015 from Amazon for $56, minus the fancy thread color. Mine is amazingly still holding up awesome 200k miles or so later, unlike the POS stock plastic wheel that was peeling under 100k.

Enough about the boring steering wheel and lets hear about the Ducati.

Lol, right. I have seen some of the wraps people did themselves and they did look good but I don’t really have the patience or average 6 plus hours to attempt it, plus I really like my upholstery guy!

Wish I had better pics of the s4rs, it has clip ons.

Looks great. My wheel is going to shit after 8+ years. Did they provide you a loaner wheel, or were you without? Also how long was the turnaround?

Thanks!

Ugh, thanks…thinking of selling turbo.
I would not recommend any of my three breeders.
My turn around was less then 24hrs, I’m a 30min drive from them. I’m sure you could figure out express shipping but that would add to cost. Love those guys tho.

What was the turnaround time for the wheel? Thanks!

Very nice. The T4R steering wheel really does leave something to be desired. I have owned a brick crapton of vehicles and never have I considered doing something like this.
While the till in the '21 GX I had briefly was not perfect (wood), the leather quality was excellent comparatively.

Less then 24hr turn around time. Have to contact them prior so they can order the leather in whatever colors you want. They do alcantera, can mod it to be flat bottom, etc.

I never considered it either till I saw pictures of custom wheels and my mk4 Supra had a rip in the wheel and I was rocking a cheap Amazon cover which bugged me. Pulling wheels off is easy, takes less then 30min and these wheels look and feel amazing.

That looks great, man. There's nothing you interact with more than the steering wheel, so I can imagine how nice it must be.

08tx, I agree 100%, it’s like getting new suspension…. Feel it and enjoy it the whole time u drive. You wouldn’t know it till the first time you get it done.
