New Tires New Question

Finally made the decision to go with Revo 2's 265/70/17 on my 07 Sport. Probably paid top dollar to use a shop I am familiar with that does the high speed balancing. On my receipt I was charged over a hundred dollars for a tire sensor. When driving away I realized the tire light was on and radio and gps was all reset. I checked the tire pressure and seemed okay at 34 lbs on all 4.
Any way to get the light to go off or does anybody know what may have taken place here. seems they may have had trouble with the sensor?
Help would be appreciated.

Confirm the spare is full of air too. Most likely they didn't program the new sensor to the vehicles computer. They can do that and should do that for free considering they broke your sensor and then charged you for it.

EDIT: Ok, this makes me crazy... Did you take them the vehicle with a catastrophic failure of a tire? Was the pressure light on? If the answer's "no" they owe you the sensor AND the five minutes on the computer to program it. :wtf:

Glad you're up & running with no TPMS light. It is terrible shame you had to go through that. FWIW you made a terrific choice in tires. Revo's are great, the guys with Revo II's seem to love them.

Well it has been a few visits back to get the Tire pressure light off with no success. Tonight I thought I would have to put a smile sticker over it not to remind me of the loss of its purpose. But the mechanic wants to try again tomorrow with the consultation of another mechanic. I will let you know.
P.S He has already programmed it to the cars computer with no success.

Screw TPMS. I never grew up with them. When i first saw those things, i thought those were for the handicap and lazy ppl checking their tires. lol Take it all out and disable from the dash.

Great reply and so true. Thanks for adjusting my reality, I am alway airing up and down and almost have it to a science counting seconds. It is just a shame the shop charged me over 100 for the new sensor after changing my tires. I can live with that and now to move on to other things...............Joe
