New to 1st gens, Idle issue/stall 86 22re

Hello all! Just bought myself an '86 4runner sr5 with a 22re and I seem to find myself in trouble already. I've done some searching through the forums/google and have found some information but nothing that has any kind of clear resolution.

On to the issue at hand. The truck runs fine when it's started cold, idling at 900-1000 pretty consistently. Even after warming up it seems to run good, idling around 750ish pretty smoothly. It does suffer from the hot soak issue I believe, rough idle after turning the car off and starting it a time after with the engine still warm, idling around 250-350ish from my guesstimate. However that is not the issue I am mainly concerned about. As of yesterday the truck dies when I go into a coast unless I down shift through the gears to first and bring it down basically to idle level(around 1k) and then push in the clutch to brake.

I've done some snooping around and have found that the hose going from the throttle body to the IACV was cracked on the TB side and poorly mended at some point. I also pulled the MAF sensor off to find it absolutely filthy so I spent some time cleaning that but since the hose to the IACV is off the car I haven't had a chance to test to see if that helped with the issue. I did find one vacuum line disconnected but after reconnecting it there was no real difference.

Some questions I have:

1) Can I use any hose of the same size to replace the one that cracked or is a pre-molded hose required?

2) I read on another forum post with someone with a similiar issue fixed it with the replacement of their coolant temp sensor. It was the 3.0 but I'm curious if that may be an area to look into?

3) I'm not too good with testing electrical components(granted if I had a detailed enough of a description I could probably get through it) but is this all probably due to the cold start injector switch? As far as I know it is the original one from the factory.

I apologize for the long winded post but thank you for taking the time to read and any information towards a solution will be greatly appreciated!

Welp seemed to have figured it out. After cleaning the MAF sensor, changing the air filter(Honestly I should post a picture, filter was basically black), and getting a temporary cut to fit hose to replace the cracked one leading to the IACV it still ran horrible. So going off what I had read I went down to the local parts store and picked up a new coolant temp sensor and installed it.

So far I haven't run into any of the issues I was having before, however I have not had the chance to take it on a lengthy drive to see if the truck still dies when coming to a stop but I'm pretty confident with how it's running that the temp sensor was at fault.
