New to forum. Strange noise

Hey all,
I recently got a 03 and have recently noticed that I have a noticeable whine when under throttle. It seems to only come up when going 35mph or more, its loudest at 65mph, and from there seems the same level of loudness any higher than that. Im thinking its either the tranny or Diff, but cant seem to narrow it down. There is no hesitation when flooring it or shifting gears at all either. Any thoughts on this? And figured I better post a photo of the new rig as well.



Ive been around Toyota's a while, coming from a 97 tacoma I built, switched to an Audi for awhile, now back to a yota. Im sure I will get around to a build thread here eventually.

Any input would be appreciated.

I have heard from a few people that this noise may just be due to my ARB rear locker that was installed. The previous owner investigated the sound and was told this and I have heard this from a few other people as well. Can anyone confirm this?

My 2006 sr5 is making a whining/friction noise it sounds like a similar noise yours is making like bearings. I think it's the transfer case it's all stock but 184k miles. any help would be appreciated. I've taken it to a couple mechanics and they can't hear it but it is definitely not a normal noise.
