New to this forum. Just bought 01 SR5 4x4

Bought it from my dad, who is the original owner. The car only has 51k miles on it. Paid $9800 for it. Good deal?

Is anyone here from MA? I am from Salem and wonder where people installed their brush guards in the area and how much was the install. Also, wanted suggestions for the brand of brush guards specifically for the NE area (lots of snow/rain=rust). And where they bought the guards, locally or online.
Any input and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like a good deal. Just for comparison's sake, I recently bought an '01 SR5 with 71k miles for $9500. And it has an issue with peeling paint on a door.

I'm not nearly as experienced as most other forum members here.... but it seems like a good deal to me. I'd be happy with it.

welcome to the forum-I would try to steer you to a "real bumper" as opposed to a brush guard.

There is a train of thought that this bumper attaching accessory can actually cause more damage to your ride -say for example if you strike a deer. The brush guard will likely damage your hood with the impact and so on.

Yes you got a great deal-would your own dad try to take advantage of you? (No way) You got a low mileage 3rd gen for under $10K-that same rig would go for $12-14K here at a Toyota dealership-and they would be asking $13-15K for it. Prices do stay a little higher out here-and I am presuming you have a 4Runner with 4wdrive.
