I agree on all counts. I think you will also find the quality of the removable rubber liners in the tray to be a better fit and much higher quality material. Thanks for your business! Would be interested in your comparison once you receive the Vehicle OCD tray.

Good question. The layout is different to provide better space for manuals. The new material is a rigid ABS. The old one was a softer plastic. The dovetail fit between dividers allows for better fit and keeping pieces perpendicular to the main horizontal shelf. Once we figured out this type of design for the Gen3 Tacoma we knew it would be perfect for the 4Runner. Both have the door style glove box rather than a tilting bin.

Good question. Space for the manuals was a big part of it. Using the small vertical dividers to provide structural support created different sized storage spaces. The height of the horizontal shelf is dictated by the ledge on the right side of the glove box which is used to support the end. There was also the annoying rib on the bottom surface of the glove box we also had to work around. Overall a pretty simple product with a fair amount of detail behind it.

Mine was out for shipment this morning. And now its been delayed until tomorrow or Thursday. I really hate Amazon sometimes.

Bummer! Amazon is our primary sales channel and they make or break you as a seller. This year we have struggled with freight sitting on trucks for as much as 6 weeks. Amazon is so busy they just turn carriers away at the gate. Anyway, hope you get it soon and are happy with it.

Just got mine. What a great product. I was bummed my dogs treats wouldn’t fit in there on top. Then I remembered I could pull out the support and now his treats are out of the way so he doesn’t bug me for them. My bottle of hand sanitizer fit perfectly as well as my bottle of alcohol. It fits way better than the ones from the COVID creators. It’s also a way more durable plastic. I’m impressed.

I have the same center console tray as the one linked here. I like it because it doesn't have the large full-height center divider like the one you guys sell.
Maybe craft a version that's just a large single tray instead of one with the divider? I know I'd prefer that

I received the console tray today. I'm not sure why I was thinking the brand X tray I had was not as deep but they are the same depth.
I agree about the rubber liners of the Vehicle OCD tray, they are nicer and fit exact to the floor of the tray. No gaps at all. I also like that yours does not have useless features like a coin holder that the brand X tray has. Nice and simple design that maximizes usable space.
Overall the Vehicle OCD console tray appears to be a quality piece, might think it was OEM if I didn't know better. Fitment is perfect. My only regret is that I didn't find and buy yours first. :cheers:

One thing to think of is when you have your manuals in there you need to make sure its packed to the top with stuff otherwise its will slide back and forth every time you take off or stop. Not a big deal, but they will move. My OCD led me to buying an organizer like this and being organized triggered another OCD.

I'd also love it if Vehicle OCD or whoever may be out there reading this finally makes an overlay for the 2020 radio. I want to cover it up! The silver in my SR5 sucks!
