NEW WHEELS? '14 Limited.

I need some opinions. I am torn between keeping my stock 20's and just upgrading tires or switching the wheels completely. I am looking at these 20" fuel throttle wheels. I have used photoshop to get an idea of what they'll look like. What do y'all think?

Personally, I would get a nice, wider set off tires and call it a day! Congrats on the new ride. Looks great.

Whats wrong with OME????

Old Man Emu makes rims?

Me, I would pick up a set of 17" trail wheels that are offered for sale in the classifieds for dirt cheap seemingly every week and buy a set of 17" tires of the type that I wanted. 17" tires will be cheaper, perform better off road and their are VASTLY more choices in style, brand, performance cat, etc.

17" oem alloy fj wheels

Hey, I found an offer on Craigslist in my area last week. An oem alloy 17" Toyota FJ wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks DM-V1 265/70R/17 winter tires on it for $600.00. The tires was only used for 4,025 miles on them last winter. The guy said he bought it in Costco for $700.00 tires only. I took :banana::banana::banana::banana:it and put it on my 2011 T4R LE. It's not only looks good but the handling and functionality is much better in my opinion. Also I swapped my center caps from the LE to FJ alloy wheels and it fits.

personally I will keep the 20 LE rims until i run the tires down, then decide if i want to get some 17's or hopefully they come out with more than 3 tires for the 20's.

if i do get new rims, it will probably be 17's since the tires are cheaper and more selection.

color wise, i don't care for dark/black color rims as you cant really see the pattern so i would need some contrasting color so i can see the design.

looking at pictures of dark rims, i can never tell the pattern of the spokes/etc. and during night time, forget about even trying to see them with low light levels.

man did i ramble on, time for bed.

Wheels

Hey, can you Photoshop the Fuel BOOST wheel in 20" the same way...?

Also if you can shop it to Nautical dark blue that would be even better!

Your rig, your call, but personally I'm an OEM guy when it comes to wheels 99% of the time. Agree with the others in that 17" Trail wheels might look cool.

I tried that, if different tire options haven't come out by now I'd suspect it's not coming. Buy your rims for the tire you plan to keep and hopefully have more then like 3 options. The 17's have all the tire options you could want, and no gas mileage didn't change. Haha.

To the OP, those rims have a lot of bling, they will make a statement for sure.
