New Wheels....thoughts?

I don't know man, hot? that girls body looks oddly bent as if defective...

Although I do like women that aren't straight :thumb3:

shit I stumped myself

I just wanna get my shocks in the mail already!

Whatever makes you happy, don't worry what these asshats say. As long as you're working on your rig it's good in my book. Not really my thing, but I couldn't imagine having an "extra" 500 bucks in college.

It's all good:pimp:, don't make your ride what other people want.

I could tell from the rims your sporting, :D

He posted in the right spot, he asked what it would look like on his truck which is a 3rd gen, and the advantage of posting in this forum would be vehicle specific issues that he could incur, as opposed to the gallery where there arent as many 3rd gener's roaming through.

Hey! Hey! I don't wanna hear it, I almost got my rims for free and the Goodyear tires I got were also free! Some people don't like my wheels on the 4runner and some people do

I've just noticed alot of wheel threads in the gallery section as I do browse there often

Alos watch the increase of hydroplaning risk with low profile tires as the contact patch is flatter than tires having more of a sidewall. The other issue is with no sidewall flex you increase pressure on the hubs which has led to issues on other folks trucks with much larger diamter rims over stock.

IMO 3rd gens don't pull off the 22" size as well as other SUVs.

your truck no one has to like it but you, that said, i think they suck and i hate it, i honestly believe it's hard to beat the stock rims and i'm very anti-ricer or baller look or whatever you want to call that pants sagging white guy talk with a limp cheesiness, but hey it's your truck and do as you would invest some money though on fixing the sag issues and bring it level again, heck you can even buy some lowing springs and get rid of the sag

I think it comes down to the mixed message. Trucks should have sidewalls so when you run over something hard you don't mess up your rims. If you take that away with narrow sidewalls you take away some or all of the essence of the truck-ness (which is to be able to run over things), so then what is it?

Oh well, enough bashing.. Next!

I think they look dumb. I know that they will adversly affect the performance of your vehicle, w/o the proper complimentary upgrades.

And sidenote - You guys who try and jump on the "flame wagon" are hilarious. I hope that since we are all old enough and have the cognitive and spatial abilities required to navigate and post to site such as this, we can at least act our age, and not start petty arguments about opinions that we have.

I applaud you guys who have provided legitimate reasons why this should be avoided, and thus I don't feel the need to repeat them.

This is true! Our 4runners aren't paticularly big or long. Damn why does it have to be short
