hi all,
i got a 95 sr5 2wd v6 a couple of months ago. so far its been great. everything on it is stock. i don't know much about trucks and stuff, but was hoping yall would be able to help me decide what to get for it. i won't be off-roading in it. i was thinking about maybe a brush guard and maybe something to make the exhaust louder. i am on a budget so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thanks trevor

Congrads on your purchase. The best mods to get are to replace your shocks and steering stabilizer after those then get your brush guard and muffler.

I have a '95 - 4x4 - but exhaust is a good idea - I have a 2.5 cat back on the way - you *could* get into headers but that gets much more intesive. I decided to get rid of that rear sag so some Downey coils and then probably some Rancho shocks to 'pick up' the slack. Brush gaurds are always great - and if you drive in the country like I do then help defend against deer nicely too.

I put in a nice Alpine - XM, Aux in for my iPod - with Boston Acoustic 6.5's. Changing the stereo in these things is a HASSLE. I have to say- Toy did a pretty good job with the OEM - but with 2 speakers beginning to 'rattle' it was time, and I just HAD to do it myself.

You could also check into poly-bushing for sway bars, body mounts and such - that will 'tighten up' the ride and cornering for you.

I'm somewhat new to Runners myself. I purchased a 92 about a year ago. 3L V6 4x4 New muffler and brush guard sounds good. I know a lot of people that use Flowmaster for mufflers, I hear they're really good. I've also done some research on guards. Smittybilt has some good ones for about a hundred bucks. If you go to toyautoparts.com they've got a lot of good shit. By the way if anyone knows where I could find altezza TAILIGHTS for a 92 I'd appreciate it.
