Newbie question...Re: Skid plate removal

I just crawled underneath my v8 4runner to change the oil but couldn't figure out how many bolts held the skid plate on. I saw the few at the front but wasn't sure how many in total there were. Second is it difficult to reinstall after you take it off?? I know most of my other car's that had the undercar defusers were made of plastic and they were a pain to get in place/hold while trying to get the screws in. I could only imagine how much harder this skid plate is since its made out of steel.

Sorry for the newbie question but i changed the filter from the top and the oil that leaked out onto the top of the skid plate is driving me crazy with oil spots on the garage floor. I don't want to make the same mistake twice on my next oil change.

There are 4.....2 in front and 2 (countersunk) in the rear.

The easiest way to remove is to remove the front bolts first because there are metal clips that aid in holding the front on. To reinstall do the opposite use the clips to hold the front and then start threading the rears..... :bigok:
