Hello... just thought I'd make my first post a pic of my new ride. I'm looking forward to many reliable miles out of my 2001. I wore out my previous daily driver at 250,000 kms, it was a 1998 blazer that I worked on quite regularily.

:)

That is a beauty!! I love the color!! Im guessing its a SR5? Is it 4WD though? Your already set with good treads too?

Any other mods your looking at doing?

Once again I love that color!!

I bet you did work on it quite regularly. Hopefully your 4Runner will hold up for awhile.

My company is looking into getting me a company car and I found out they were going to get me a 2005 Blazer. I didn't even know they were still making those suckers. I talked them into a 2006 TrailBlazer, I know it still is not a 4Runner.

thanks....it is a 4x4 limited "thunder cloud" with new bfg t/a's 265/70/16's, 78,000 kms on the clock. I'm very happy with the 4runner so far, however the sound system leaves a little to be desired. Will a simple speaker replacement help out? I don't want to replace the head unit, I want to keep it stock.

:)

with my stereo system, the first thing i did was replace the head unit bc the stock one would skip over every bump. After replacing it i realized how much better it sounded. I imagine that new speakers will help somewhat but its like upgrading you sound system with out allowing it to sound to its full extent. Nice tires too!!

It's not so much the speakers but the HU;I replaced mine with an Alpine 9833 and added a Bazzoka 250w amp powering a 10" MTX sub and the stock speakers sound decent but I will upgrade sometime after the real mods are done but in the meantime the OEM speakers will stay in place.
